Degrees from Minnesota State University - Mankato in Consumer Education, Family Life & Early Childhood Education, and Special Education.

Experiences:  Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher in Edina, Hopkins, Forest Lake, and Dakota Valley in South Dakota.  Special Education teacher in Hopkins, Vermillion, SD, and Stillwater.  Head Start teacher for Anoka CAP in Anoka and Brooklyn Park.  Product librarian at Comserv in Eagan.  Now in St. Paul Public Schools at Humboldt High School teacher both Junior and Senior High FACS and AVID9. Short order cook for 4 years in high school and college.

Enrichments:  Seminars and Training in:  AVID - (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Technology Integration,  Accelerating African American Male Student Achievement, Socratic Seminars, WICR Strategies- (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, and Reading), Digital Media Application, Applied Math to the Elective Classroom, Small Learning Community Leadership, Reading in the Regular Classroom, CTE (Career and Technical Education), Entrepreneurship, Computer Technology - Windows Office, Computer Applications for Architecture and Interior Design.  Licensed Food Service Manager.

But most important:  I have been married for 32 years and a parent for the last 25 years of three wonderful girls.  Practical real life experiences to enrich what I teach every day in Family and Consumer Science.  I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, sewing, cooking, gardening and yardwork and traveling (I have seen 40 of 50 states and also some of Canada and Mexico.)
