New School Hours for 2010-11 School Year
Humboldt will be adding one to one and one half hours on to our school day next year to offer additional learning opportunities for our students.

2009-10 Letter to Parents
Welcome back!  Humboldt is going to be a different school this year.  Below is an update to our direction.

School supplies provided!
We are providing school supplies for all students, as we will be using AVID strategies school-wide, and providing universal supplies will ensure everyone is equally prepared.  The cost is $5!  A significant savings to your budget!

Spring has Sprung!
We are planting seeds for our future, both within our students and as we evolve as a school.

As part of the restructuring plan, Humboldt will be intentionally reducing enrollment and begin the planning process for next year.

Humboldt is continuing its renaissance~we'll be a different school in the coming years.  Acting locally, preparing students globally.  We're a family, so stay informed and impact our world!

Late Start Wednesday October 15, 2008
There will be a late start for seniors on October 15th to accommodate 9-11th graders who are testing.  Seniors may come to the career resource center to complete college applications.  Classes will resume at 10:40 AM.

Preparing for Graduation
We are preparing our students for life.  We are celebrating our school spirit and supporting our students to best prepare them for life beyond high school.

Welcome Back!
Below is a letter which went out to all incoming families.  We have our orientation on Thursday and a College Access Open House on Monday Septemeber 8th.  Come and learn more about the "Humboldt Advantage"!

Humboldt students, staff and community members have worked together to improve our school.  We need to continue to build on our successes as we plan for next year.

Continuing with Revitalization Plan
We have developed a plan to revitalize our school.  We will be working with multiple partners to ensure it's a success.  Please consider coming to “Breakfast with the Principal” on February 11th from 9:00-10:30 AM to discuss this further.

Revitalization Plan for Humboldt 12-19-07
Humboldt has worked to develop a revitalization involving student, staff and community input.  The District supports our work.

Community Meeting Wednesday 12-12-07
There will be a community meeting on Wednesday December 12, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 PM to meet with the community and discuss proposals for the Humboldt Junior and Senior High reform.

The Humboldt Complex Will Be Changing
Humboldt Complex will restructure within the next school year because it has not made Adequately Yearly Progress as measured by the MCA-II assessments.

Re-invent Humboldt Complex!!! November 29, 2007

On November 27, 2007 we were directed by the District Office to come with a plan to re-invent Humboldt Junior and Senior High Schools by December 12, 2007 which results in increased academic achievement of the students we have, increased enrollment of non-SPPS/charter school students to Humboldt, be academically rigorous and motivate our community for supporting our school.

Parents, we want your advice.  Please come to our PTO meetings on the first Monday of the month from 5:30-6:30 PM in the auditorium.  We appreciate your input.  A light dinner is provided.
