                                                a.   I. Moses:  Through Title I, we are assessing our students in Math and English so we can properly place them into classes and give them any needed support.  Humboldt has created an assessment for our Ninth graders for Math because the statewide assessment does not occur until 11th grade, and that is too late to effectively intervene for underperforming students.

                                                b.   Title I dinner will be held on Thursday, November 1 from 4:30-6:30pm.  All parents and staff are welcome to come to the school, meet the staff, enjoy a dinner, and learn about Title I classes and support that is offered.

                                                c.   Title I is working through the PTO to reach out to parents.  The PTO hopes to become an effective liaison and means of communication between the school’s staff and parents.  The PTO will also work with the monthly newsletter.

                                                d.   Humboldt did not make AYP this year, and because we receive Title I funding we were required to send out a letter to all parents informing them of their ability to transfer their students to another school.  We are in year 2 of not making AYP.
